At-risk children often become at-risk youth, facing low levels of literacy, dealing with bullying, crime, drugs, alcohol and victimization from a variety of unhealthy situations. The South Peace Building Learning Together Society responded by introducing the Words on Wheels (WOW) Bus through an $8,000 from The RCMP Foundation. The WOW Bus travels throughout the South Peace region of British Columbia offering early literacy programs to children; preparing them for school and giving them the confidence they need to excel throughout their early years and beyond.
